What is gratitude?

Gratitude is the simple act of noticing the good in your life and being grateful towards it.

Okay so it won’t make your family life easier or your job less busy. It won’t erase any grief or heal any chronic illnesses, or even pay down your debts.

What gratitude WILL do is 👇

✅ Calm you down

✅ Improve your sleep quality

✅ Boost your self confidence

✅ Improve relationships

It can also help manage depression, prevent anxiety, and help with overcoming addictions.

But how can something like gratitude help you feel all that when there’s still always something in life that’s going to stress you out?

I get it. I used to think that way, too.

You can’t stop stress from happening. Nobody can.

What happens is that you become better by responding better to the things that stress you out.

That means learning how to notice the good things instead of only focusing on the things that went wrong.

Because there always are good things. You just aren’t focusing on them.

Once you start getting into the habit of looking for the good things in life, you start seeing them more. Which makes you feel better about life.

More joyful. Confident. And optimistic.
